For narrating my experiences as a research participant, Gibbs' reflective model will be used. It is the six-step models which support effectively depicting one’s experience and feeling related to the situation (Gibbs reflective model, 2024). I have selected the “Binge Watching” study, as it will help in sharing effective knowledge from my personal experiences. Further, “multi-screening media competition” has been chosen, as this situation has been prevailing in the current times. I have opted for this topic, as I believe that in the upcoming time each individual will be using multiple screens. Both the studies were conducted through a qualitative method which includes open-ended questions regarding the issue. First study helps me in understanding the major factors that are transforming me towards the Binge Watching lifestyle and all the potential issues caused due to such a lifestyle.
The ‘Multi-screening media competition’ study involved assorted questions regarding the type of devices which I use, the potential impact, benefits, rationality for using and significance of content management. This study supports me in understanding the negative impact of using multiple screens and the importance of low and high content quality. This also helps me in exploring the negative consequences of using such devices on overall health & well-being. By engaging in research, I understand the importance of effective questionnaires, which could help in gaining in-depth information related to research issues. I have also identified that diverse samples should be collected for research, which helps in gaining the broader information related to the issue and supports gathering the most accurate outcome. Based on my viewpoint, researchers should participate in the research, as it will help in collecting high-quality information. I think that individual will not be able to effectively understand the other’s viewpoint until they have been involved in the research.
